PJF go down fighting

PJF turned up at Hook to take on Kingston. Depleted by the lack of availability of key players it was always going to be tough for PJF. Nevetheless the lads battled manfully through the first half conceding only one score which resulted form players playing out of position. The second half PJF again put up a spirited display with great defence. It was only as the game entered the last 20 minutes that the game really turned and it all turned on a rather harsh yellow card. During the PJF player's time in the bin Kingston scored three tries which killed the game off. But to their credit PJF never gave up and fought back to score a good try of their own and Kingston snatched another score at the death. Despite the disappointing result there were some terrific performances. The pick of which came form Alex Wilson who continuously battered at the Kingston line and regularly making hard yards. The front row performed well with the back row tackling everything that moved. It was encouraging to see the fight in the side and hopefully with some key players coming back the results will finally start to turn in PJFs favour. I would like to thank Iain and Rhodri for all their hard work this week and a special thank you to Callum Law who delayed a trip to London in order to play the game.
