PJF started their league season at the Pightle with a 45-22 win. The first half saw PJF overrun Blues, scoring one penalty and five tries, all converted, with Blue replying with one penalty and an unconverted try of their own. The second half saw PJF take their foot off the pedal only adding one further converted try whilst conceding two to Blues. The second half saw PJF pinned in their 22m for much of the half due to conceding sillly penalties and playing against the wind. The urgency had gone out of the game for PJF and mistakes crept into the game. In spite of the drop in performance PJF ran out comfortable winners by 45-22. Next week PJF travel to Arthur Road in Motspur Park to take on O Haileyburians who are temporarily using the KCS/O Blues ground whilst they overcome some current difficulties at their own ground on Ruxley Lane in Ewell. O Haileyburians were relegated from Couties One last season. They will be eager to regain their place in the higher league and should be stiff competition. Haileyburians having won their first league game against Amplefordians on Saturday.
