Considering that this season involves the bonus point structure for the first time at this level, it is not looking too good as we haven't benefited from any "losing" points.
Positives from this match are few and far between; although 2 push over tries and a penalty try for PJF intimates some form of forward dominance in the tight. Unfortunately wrong options and silly mistakes led to the visitors capitalising and punishing them off with tries and conversions. There is definitely a continuity problem as for the third week in a row the XV fielded a side with many personnel changes to the previous week. Lack of numbers at training leads to the side having no coherence or regrettably suitable fitness for the league programme. It's not that we have bad players, indeed the individuals on display are all good players with latent technical ability - it's just the unity and desire that is wanting at this stage. By PJF's recent seasons slow starting standards this is a poor effort, we can look to those involved to rally round and shape themselves into a viable unit that can, as we see it at the moment, avoid relegation.
