PJF faced the two top sides in the division over the past three weeks. During both games PJF gave a good account of themselves but found it tough to cross the whitwash. Against O Ruts on November 18th PJF went down by two tries and a penalty to a penalty. The game was keenly contested throughout and PJF were in the game until the end. ON last Saturday, PJF travelled to O Haileyburians who lie second in the table. Again the contest was an extremely tight affair with PJF up at the half way stage by one point having played down the hill. Playing up the hill with a one point lead was always going to be hard and Haileyburians effectiveness at the gain line enabled them to nick it in the second half with a try that came off a penalty close to the PJF line for a scrunmmaging offence that some regarded as somewhat harsh considering that the PJF scummage was dominant, but that is the way things go sometimes and it meant that PJF went down 13-6 in a tight game. This Saturday PJF take on Law Society at the Pightle. Although Law Society are second from bottom they can never be taken lightly as they do have some very good players available to them, so it should be another hard contested game. Come along and support the lads.
