With the new season only three weeks away it has been good to see that the turn out at training has been good. If we are to consolidate on all the effort and hard work that went into last season we must break the back of the work before the season starts. Training is held on Monday and Wednesday nights form 7.00. The club has a new coach in Rhodri Lewis who has great support from Sean Silver. Numbers have been good but we must start to think of pulling things together before the start of the season. The new season will be a step up from last year with games against a lot of local rivals so bragging rites will be up for grabs. The club welcomes all new players and has opportunities in a number of positions so if you are looking for a club or are wanting to return to Rugby, we would love to see you up on Monday or Wednesday night.
Also new this year PJF are starting a brand new junior section at Plough Lane in Purley. I would like to thank Brendan and John Hession and John Vellacot for all their hard work in making this happen. The first Sunday the Juniors will meet will be September 1st at 10.30, so if you have any young man or woman form the age group 5, 6 and 7 bring them along to John Fisher School's playing fields on Plough Lane at 10.30am on Sunday, September 1st. Any parents interested in learning more about coaching in the Purley / Coulsdon are welcome to come and talk to Brendon or myself or e mail by clicking here. If we also get interest from the Coulsdon end we can open up PJFRFC ad expand the section to two sites.
