A game enjoyed by all.

Fish and Chips XV, the combined Chipstead and PJF 'vets' side, took on a Reeds side that turned up at the Pightle with eleven players. All credit should be given to Reeds for turning out despite the shortage of players, many sides this season have just cried off which meant that Fish and Chips have not had as many outings as they would have liked. Fish and Chips, in the spirit of the game gave Reeds a few players to make up their numbers. There ensued a good natured game enjoyed by all players and the referee alike. Fish in Chips ran into and early lead, outscoring the Reeds side 4 tries to 1 in the first half. In the second half Reeds came back into the game scoring 4 tries to Fish and Chips 3. Both sides played some good attacking rugby, after the game both sides agreed that it was a really enjoyable game played in the right spirit. It was a great advert for 'vets' rugby. All are now looking forward to next season.
