Success is not a given, but its more likely with the right sort of help

I wanted to contact you all on behalf of the John Fisher Association (JFA) to update you on the Funding Fisher's Future campaign which finishes this weekend. At the time of writing this, we have raised £17,425.44.(inc gift aid) A remarkable achievement. The support and generosity has been overwhelming and highlights the unique community we are all part of. We have seen donations from parents, staff, old boys and local businesses, all of which will make a huge difference to the students and families which need our support at this time. The campaign has also highlighted how important this campaign has been in helping those who need support to come forward.

I want to share part of an email I received from one of those parents who will be supported;

“ I didn’t want to come forward and admit I needed help. I have one (old) laptop which I have to use for work, but I have three children, all who need it during the day. I didn’t know where to go and I don’t have the money right now to get another. The Funding Fisher’s Future campaign made me realise the I am not alone, people care and reminded me why I choose John Fisher School. It’s unique. I’m ever in your debt and I want to thank anyone who donated. You have helped my sons, my family and me.”

With the campaign coming to a close, we look forward to spending every penny on those members of our community who need us. If you have yet to donate and still wish to, please find the link below:

We hope that we can hit £20,000 (inc gift aid) and start to hand out the technology to the individual families before the summer holidays. I want to thank all of you who have donated, shared with friends or taken the time to email me directly with your supportive messages.

I hope you have a pleasant weekend,

Kind Regards

Mr. A Dean
