PJF ran another Pitch Up for Rugby event. The turn out, as expected, was down on the previous event because University students had returned or started on their chosen courses, the weather was more mixed and notice was fairly short. Having taken these factors into consideration we still had 35 players turn out. The players were divided into 3 teams who played two games of 10 minutes against one another based on the Ready 4 Rugby format provided by the RFU. Each side played 4 games before retiring for some beers and a BBQ, put on with due consideration of socially distancing. The event showed that PJF could run a responsible and well run event. The plans will be to move this initiative forward to introduce other local clubs in an inter club sporting event based on the Ready 4 Rugby format. The club in monitoring developments closely to ensure whatever is laid on is safe and well organised and meets with local guidelines.
