Niel Kenny5 Mar - 16:00

One of life's nice guys.

It is with enormous sadness we inform you of the premature passing of Ed 'Paddy' Gill as the result of an accident on his farm in Australia. Paddy played for the notorius John Fisher Old Boys 'Mean Machine' in the early to mid eighties (the third team in those days). Paddy was a popular easy going great guy who everyone loved being around. Paddy went on to play for the Old Boys second and first teams. He was a great wing forward who gave his all and always came up smiling.
After a successful career in the city in banking and executive recruitment, Paddy emigrated to Australia and bought a lovely house and farm outside of Sydney. Paddy was over in the UK only a year ago and attended one of the club's lunches where he renewed old friendships. Our thoughts and prayers are with Paddy's devistated family, Cathy his wife, Pip his daughter and Charles his son and his many friends across the world. May he rest in peace.
