Thank you for your support

I am writing to you on behalf of the J.F.A (The John Fisher Parent Association- run by parents/carers of students at the school) who are today launching the 'Funding Fisher's Future' campaign. The aim of this is very simple;
'to make sure every student at the school has access to the technology they need to support their learning at home.'
With online learning forming part of our blended teaching model moving forward, it is vital that every student can access lessons, resources and feedback at home.

There has been plenty in the press about students across the UK not being able to engage with online learning because they cannot access a laptop or P.C at home. The John Fisher School, in its comprehensive nature, has students and families who need the support of our school community at this time. As a Catholic school, charity and love are the foundations of everything we do. The 'Funding Fisher's Future' campaign is looking to our whole school community to take up these values and help in anyway you can. Each of the students identified are in need of a laptop so that they can access online lessons, complete work set and access software which will develop their skills.

I want to be very clear that every student identified is a member of our community. The case studies attached outline 5 of our students who need our help, but there are more. I urge any parent/carer who is struggling to access online learning because of a lack of technology to make contact. The J.F.A want to support the school by continuing to raise much needed funds and making sure that no student falls behind.

Using the donation page below, you can make a real difference. Every pound will help reach the £2,000 target by Friday 3rd July. If you can donate on a larger scale, perhaps your company can help with providing laptops, then please do get in touch.

I want to thank the J.F.A for this campaign and those parents/carers who give up their time so generously to raise money for the school every year.
