Marlins started the match a man short, but more than made up for this with a determined and passionate performance. Marlins again called upon their speed merchants Damo and Reem on the score board, not to mention their usual suspects on the menacing tackling front- getting over the 200 tackle Mark to keep the score pegged till the last minute. The referee wasn't having any Shakespearean amble from either side and Mander found himself on the wrong side on at least one occasion. It was a miracle that PJRFC's usually bolshey pack weren't all sent off at the same time, but thanks to the calming influence of Damo and Norm, who had their own competitive spirit leading to a few sparks, lids were kept down!!
PJRFC always looked leathal in attack when out wide, but struggled to capitalise on this strength. The well oiled Epsom posse took PJRFC to court with good rolling mauls off the line out. PJRFC regrouped to defend deep in their territory with malignant commitment from Porno, Sam, Bysh and the ever marauding Mawer. Del and Chase added much needed pahnash to the back line when called upon, leaving The spectators hanging onto their drinks till the end!!
