Open rugby at its best with over a hundred points on the board between the teams

This match would have been the clash of the Titans in recent years, when the two clubs played in the same league, and there is always much to settle from last year! Both Warlingam and PJRFC put out joint club sides over the International weekend.

PJRFC forwards established their dominance in the line out from the word go and Ryan Snappy Snadden made no mistake,
with the first, setting up a rolling maul supported by his front row Tom White, who scored the first of 11 tries for PJRFC. Warlingham faught back with some decisive kicking from the first team fly half, though PJRFC defended well from depth, with dazzling counter attacking runs from Trumper getting the ball across to PJRFC's new found sensation- Iain Greenwood, who had a cracking game on the wing, scoring his first Hatrick of many to come I am sure. "The mighty Warls" were not about to throw the towel in, and retaliated with a bit of individual brilliance from their scrum half, who ran 80 yards through many waiting PJRFC arms! And a poor defensive display. Reem not wanting to be out done by his colourful (or lack of colour for that matter) wing, stepped up to score for PJRFC. Warlingham replied through a well worked try from a penalty at a ruck, where PJRFC were for once not as surprised as England. PJRFC continued to dominate breakdowns through Swainson, who made several carries into the opposition half, to let loose open side young "Serge Betsen" aka Chase Thompson. "The mighty Warl" kept the score in check with another counter attacking try from PJRFC half, again showing up poor PJRFC defensive display. A determined PJRFC ended the first half on a high, with another well worked try, combing several phases of rucks, policed well by Sia, White, Swainson, and marshalled well by Will at scrum half, and culminating in a well weighted pass to Greenwood by Young Tom Parker, to finish the half on a high for PJRFC. Tom Parker at 10 utilised all his inside knowledge well on the day to release both back row forwards with some decisive close runs, and centres Jamie and Reem to establish width.

The scene was set for a cliff hanger in the second half, though no one told Chase aka Serge, who ran 40 yards to score within the first couple of minutes. PJRFC went on to exert a tremendous amount of pressure on the Mighty Warl, camping in their 22 for long periods of time. This pressure was converted to points through some zig zag running by new comer Greenwood, who scored his third try early in the second half. Warlingham made some decisive replacements, and came back through a couple of scores, though not before PJRFC midfield comprising of Jamie and Jules, put on some try stopping tackles along the way, leading to the veteran Warlingham captain remarking, how the rear guard can still show the young guns a thing or two! The back's also took on the mantle of establishing dominance and closing off the game, with a well worked try, through the hands for Reem to score in the corner.

This was PJRFC's day, and the veteran forward Dave Sia stepped up to the calling with a few shimmy runs and Marshall the scrum's. This led to a punishing few minutes for the tired The Mighty Warl pack, with Sia going over the line twice. The front row comprising of Steve Sharman, Paddy O'Neill and Tom White provided an excellent platform, from scrums and lineouts to unleash a young adventurous back line, who scored their last try of the day through Tom Browne. This 11 try haul has established PJRFC's Marlins dominance of the local league. They travel to Streatham and Croydon next week.
