PJRFC Marlins lost 31-12 to Midwives in a game of two halves. Midwives got off to a good start scoring 5 tries in the first 30 minutes. With their 10 distributing the ball well letting loose their first team prop, flanker and full back into space, leading to the early scores. PJRFC struggled to find their rhythm, not helped by some flamboyant Louis Vitton and back chat to referee. The referee did well to calm nerves towards the end of the first half. PJRFC turned the game round and fought their way back through some excellent running and attacking defence in the backs through Norm, Trumper and Jules. Jeff Barry unleashed the back row, with Kim Paddy and Sam making the Vinipola yards. Tom White not wanting to be left out made some excellent forays into Old Mid Whit 22, culminating in tries for Damo and Jeff. The referee commented: a game of 2 halves, and a difficult team to beat if u play like that! PJRFC finished the game on a high. Old Becehamians entertain Marlins next week,
