This match was a return fixture in the competition and PJF were out to exsponge the drubbing they were on the end of earlier this season.
PJF flew out of the blocks and took the game to their opponents with a vengence. Dominating in the scrums PJF's pack secured ample possession to free their backs. Centre Dan Higgins ceased the opportunity and collected a brace of tries. The first was from quick hands that allowed him to exploit a gap in the defence and go in under the posts. His second saw him use a bit more personal flair as he jigged and weaved his way through the traffic. Matt Vaughan slotted both conversions.
Despite this onslaught the visitors managed to keep themselves in touch with a 2 try reply that flattered them. PJF weathered this storm and went further ahead when flanker Matt Hanlon capitalised from his pack's dominance to score from the back of a maul. Again Vaughan converting.
The start of the second half saw PJF suffer a grave injustice as Warlingham invoked the un-contested scrum law. Stripped of their superior advantage in the tight PJF allowed the opposition to close the gap on the scoreboard. However two well taken Vaughan penalties ensured the PJF took the result from this game that they so desperately wanted.
