In a Surrey Merit table game they overcame a 3-14 halftime deficit to beat local rivals Old Mid Whitgiftians 27-14. A fine result that saw them beat OMW's home and away this season.
Unfortunately after 20 minutes the veteran Fly Half Paul Crocker retired wit a recurring injury, allowing youngster Dan Leidecker to window his talent. His man of the match performance saw him score 2 tries and 2 conversions. Aiding this revival was the PJF pack who had woken up and began securing good possession enabling Dan to release his backs with a vengeance. Second row Pete Thomas and flanker Matt Hanlon scored the other 2 tries. Bob Scarborough was denied his usual flop over try, but the ref did compliment “the old bloke at no 8” for his fine efforts in the loose.
