Man of the Match was John Vellacot who scored a try a conversion and 2 penalites in a 13 point haul. He was supported by Adolphus who scored a try and gave a good account of himself throughout the match.
Captain Bruck said that he was pleased with the side's performance whose strength in depth off the bench, was similar to Englnds in Italy a few years ago. But he admitted he did have to chuckle when he saw Bob Scarborough try to score with his usual flop over the line, only to be mugged by a covering member of the opposing side.
