Purley John Fisher blended their usual balance of experience and youth this weekend and showcased several of their younger generation Academy players.

In this local derby, in nigh on perfect playing conditions, PJF's Marlins' Captain - Dave Mole - selected his side wisely and gave them their reign to run free. This they did to the tune of 14 tries creating many breaks and much space as they dragged the visitors all over Parsons Pightle.

It's always nice to win these local derbies but the icing on the cake was the manner in which it was executed. The Marlins' pack secured excellent set piece and loose phase possession which allowed their backs to show their class and discipline in amassing such a score. Not only were the side impressive in attack but they also defended well when they lost the ball. Working hard for each other and together in impactive units they overran the Warlingham XV.

Tries for Ryan Snadden, Matt Milner, Norm Collier and Connor Gavigan were complimented by a brace each for James Hickey and Alex Charalamblous with hat tricks for Tom Casey and Ben Axten-Burrett. Gavigan and Charalamblous made the balance in conversions between them. Such was the rugby flair on show that the sizeable crowd's attention was kept until the final whistle.
