To single any one person out would be an injustice to the manner in which this team stood up and were counted after a fairly disappointing 3 loss start to the year.
Feasting off good first phase ball allowed the PJF backline to realise their potency and spin the ball wide. In this area winger Murphy flourished with a brace of well taken tries. Text book, percentage and disciplined rugby that whetted the onlookers appetite. With their own scrums and line outs functioning the PJF eight set about a demolition job on their opponents. Constantly on the back foot pressurised any possession Bromley won and with PJF's back row in a rampant mood quite often spills and turnovers were the order of the day.
The PJF backs continued to look dangerous all day and when they got ball in space they created gaps and the points rattled up. This bred confidence and running lines and quick re-cycling ensured that the game maintained a tempo that PJF wanted and controlled. To Bromley's credit they amassed 10 points in an effort to hold onto PJF's shirt tails, but this was little consolation as many attacking efforts were thwarted by Campbell-Carson's big hits at centre.
And so Purley John Fisher were as strong as the sum of their parts, a mentality that they need to consolidate in training this week as they look to host Hove next Saturday at Parson's Pightle.
