Massive disappointment for PJF

PJF come away from this fixture hugely disappointed at losing such a crucial game. The first half Georgians, playing with the wind, unleashed a back display that would do a side a few divisions higher in the leagues proud. Smart half back play, hard running centres and strong quick wings created numerous overlaps in the first half. PJF turned around at half time with a mountain to climb having conceded 31 points and five tries. The second half started much the same way with Georgians scoring another two tries to take a 43 point lead. Suddenly PJF seemed to wake up and say no more and started to take space away from Georgians forcing them into handling errors and driving them back into their 22. The rucking improved with PJF clearing the opposition off the ball. The set scrum started to function and put further pressure on Georgians and the penalty count went clearly in favour of PJF. It might be argued that Georgians eased off but there was a new determination in the way PJF played. The pressure was rewarded when Chase went over in the corner to claim the consolation try. The lesson for PJF is that if they play with real intensity and purpose they can more than compete. With four games remaining this season, if PJF can intensify their play and go into the contact area with drive and thought there is no reason why results should start to come their way.
