A cumbersome start allowed the opponents to open the scoring when an innocent kick was left to bounce presenting the visitors chasing winger the opportunity to snatch the ball and cross the line for 5 points.
KCS then proceeded to sit back and make things difficult for PJF with a spoiling game yielding a high penalty count that PJF weren't able to capitalise on. The constant penalising broke up any continuity that PJF attempted to get going and it wasn't really until the second half that the home machine began to grind out this result.
PJF scored 5 tries through Nick Owen, Simon Thelwell, Dan Leidecker, Alistair Fox and Richard Cutbill. The latter added a drop goal and Stuart Sorrel scored 2 conversions. The tries were all well crafted and flowed through several phases before clinical execution. So PJF remain third in the League and face a tough away match on 24th November against fourth placed London Irish Amateurs, who beat them 2 years ago in a play off match.
