With the wind at their backs TJ's were 15-0 up at half time and it seemed as if PJF were out. However they turned round and literally threw caution to the wind as they ran everything back at their opponents. Matt Vaughan opened the PJF account with a try and then a penalty. TJ's responded with a try that left the score at 20-7.
Full credit to the PJF pack who stuck doggedly to their tasks and were able to secure sufficient territorial advantage for their backs to attack TJ's. Through this determined effort PJF took the initiaive and Reddington soon freed his centre Carson to score in the corner. Fisher thumped a massive conversion and then added a penalty to take PJF to within 2 points.
Despite this it was difficult to see where the winning score would come from as the clock ticked down and the crowd began to celebrate a home win. This is when Fisher took the responsibility for the side and with deft skill launched a drop kick from some 35 yards out. Urging the ball on it's way Fisher witnessed it's flight over the bar to score 3 points and the consequently the PJF victory.
Whilst they were happy with the result, PJF were philisophical enough to realise that the fixtures ahead, when the League resumes in the New Year, will be equally as testing. Only hard training and concentration will ensure that the effort put in so far will be rewarded with promotion.
