PJF snatched victory from the jaws of defeat as they overhauled a 15-11 deficit in this top of the table clash at the Pightle this weelkend. The match began on cue as ealry PJF inconsistencies (a hangover from the Dartfordians game) were punished by thir

A loss of concentration in defence and some poor commitment at a line out led to the visitors taking the initiative and scoring two tries. At this stage PJF seemed to be thinking ahead of themselves and trying to play three moves ahead of where they actually were. Hard fought possession and ground was easily squanderd as PJF's shape appeared a little loose at times.

However cometh the hour, cometh the Man of the Match as Denis Singleton began to assert his authority and character on the match. He started to hit his jumpers in the lineout and was dynamic in the loose play geeing his team along with good effect. PJF dug deep and showed good character as they rattled off 3 tries, one each from their props Brannigan and Cox and a final score from scrum half Doyle.

The kicking duo of Fisher and Vaughan were unlucky on several occasions as their efforts shaved the woodwork and drifted away at the last moment. They managed three points each, a penalty for Vaughny and a drop goal from Charlie.

A good result in the end which maintained their 1 point lead over second place and extended the difference to 4 points over third. Next up on Saturday 19th November are Tonbridge Juddians 14:30 ko at the Pightle.

Second team Captain Steve Bruck cursed the Autumn Internationals as his side crashed 65-10 to Battersea Ironsides. The early morning kick off deprived him of several unavailable players and the combative nature of the game reduced his personnel through injury.

PJF 3rdXV were beaten by Croydon's 2XV 17-5 in a match that was a lot clser than the score suggests. Two disallowed tries from Booth and Cripps affected the side who's hard work had seen them domintate the second half territorially.

Croydon quickly realised that it was easier to run round PJF's pack rather than go through it and scored two tries from the wings. PJF's scored was John Silsby who needed Ollie BHooths bulk to drive hard over from 5 yards out.
