The home side managed to secure the ball on the floor and took the game to PJF in the rucks. Centre Vaughan marshalled his back line well and a stout defence stopped the Irish from capitalising on their ball. As the match progressed PJF's dominance upfront told and very soon the backs were attacking and pressurising their opponents.
PJF's rhythm, missing from last weeks defeat, was found and Owen, Vaughan, Hanlon and Kerr all crossed the whitewash. PJF's fly half Fisher added conversions and penalties to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Good interplay between backs and forwards kept a good momentum throughout the second half. Unfortunately PJF just took their eye off the opponents and allowed 2 soft tries to be scored against them.
PJF return to the League programme on Saturday 12th hosting Tunbridge Wells at the Pightle for a 2:30 kick off.
