PJF Lord it

Both sides experienced difficulty in coming to terms with the rain flurries, but it was PJF who eventually showed their class and supremacy in the second half; where PJF continually created several good passages of play. They kept the ball alive and pressurised their opponents, making them play deep inside their own half.

PJF found their rhythm and Charlie Fisher led the way with a haul of 17 points - his try was from a charged down clearance and he added to this with 2 penalties and 3 conversions. The home sides pack's momentum presented their Captain Kerr with the opportunities to add 3 tries to his season's tally. The first was from a line out take and drive, the second from a passage of interplay involving both backs and forwards and the third from a forward drive. Scrum half Pete Doyle also benefited from his packs dominance as he crossed the line from a rolling maul.

So PJF remain at the top of the London SE3 League and visit Brighton next Saturday.

PJF's 2XV gave a solid performance in their Surrey Merit table match against Dorking. Padraig Hickey scored a try and a penalty as the home side eclipsed the visitors 8-0.

Newcomer Alan Sillito lead the way with a sound display of forward play and he was ably supported by Curly and Andy MacHugh, whilst youngster James Bourke took some vital ball against the head in the lineout. Paul Crocker marshalled his backline well throughout the game, keeping the visitors from scoring.
