Tony Mawer led his 3rd XV from the front with 2 splendid tries as they demolished local side Walcountians.
A brace each from Matt Milner and newcomer and Man of the Match Stuart Hawkins provided good back up. To add to the 55-0 scoreline were tries from Richard Cutbill, Bob Scarborough & Richard Beeby. Chris Pipe chipped in with 5 conversions. In all it was a handsome, focused team performance.
Turning round at half time with a favorable wind and slope PJF thundered into the oppo with excellent runs from Scarbs, Tony and Dave Ceb. Happy Feet Curly along with Steve Bruck and Dave Mole covered the hard yards and defended well around the base of the broken play. Crippsy marshaled his back unit well as they all ran with purpose and determination. Even "Mitts of Shame" Emanuelle managed to hold onto the ball and cover many yards.
But it wasn't all about the rugby as in the changing room the side's pre-match preparation was boosted by a very sentimental text from Crumps who was in Turkey on holiday - play this one for the Gipper boys. Post match entertainment was supplied by Curly who for some unknown reason had secured himself a pair of the most hideous and impractical footwear ever seen to man. Not camel toe shoes but more simian in appearance as each toe had a lovely little niche to fit in to. Most strange especially with the black socks he had on.
