PJF train on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7.00pm all are welcome

PJF have been training for two weeks under a new coaching team of Rhodri Lewis and Sean Silver. Attendance has been good and we thank the players for their support.
Rhodri has a wide range of coaching and playing experience. Rhodri used to play for East Grinstead during the time they were flying high before injury cut his career short. Before East Grinstead Rhodri played for Southampton University and London South U20s and Wales U21 A team. Rhodri is currently on the RFU Level 3 coaching course. We are looking forward to working with Rhodri to help the PJF players achieve their potential.
We are also pleased to welcome Sean Silver who has agreed to help Rhodri with the coaching. Sean is currently teaching at Watford GS. The input of two coaches will make a big difference, in previous seasons PJF have always had issues of coaching the forwards and the backs when they split out into their units. In the past it often meant that either the forwards or backs were standing around whilst the other unit received coaching help. With the addition of Rhodri and Sean we will be able to provide coaching to both forwards and the backs at the break out sessions before bringing the groups back together.
Also new for this season, PJF will be starting a junior section in September. Initially for 6 and 7 year olds the aim is to look for more volunteers who would be prepared to help out with coaching youth rugby. Interested volunteers should e mail me by clicking here.
With a new coaching team and a youth section PJF are looking to the future. Any players thinking of returning to rugby or players new to the area will always find a warm welcome at PJF.
