Mike Davies is retiring and a celebration of his career is being held on July 9th

“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.”
- Theodore Roosevelt
Mike Davies has been at the school for over 30 years. During that time he has lead the school's Physical Education department to new heights. His commitment to educating students at the school that nothing is impossible with dedication, persistence and desire is truly remarkable. During his stewardship the school's achievements on the rugby field and cricket pitch compare with anything achieved by leading public schools. His career is something worth celebrating. Attached is an invitation to Mikes retirement function. Please respond generously for a truly generous man who has given students at John Fisher values of self belief, self worth and the belief that nothing is impossible. Mike's function will be held at the school on the evening of July 9th at the school pavilion. Please complete the attached form and return as soon as possible. Thank you, and thank you Mike for all that you have done.
